TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE

ORDERING

An order can be made any one of three ways:

  1. Using our online enquiry form. Please complete our enquiry form with your details and the products/ menus you wish to order. We aim to get back to you within 30 minutes with either an email confirmation of your order or we will phone you to discuss your requirements.
  2. Email us directly. We are always picking up emails so we are happy for clients to drop us a quick email for an order. Again we aim to respond within 30 minutes with confirmation and a quotation.
  3. By telephone. We are available pretty much any time of the day to take orders via telephone. If your order has specific requirements or is a last minute request, it is sometimes best to speak to someone over the phone to ensure such requirements are met.

Please note where the goods ordered by the client are not available from stock Proper Food reserves the right to substitute items of similar value and type.

PRICE AND PAYMENT

The price of our goods and/or services are available on our menu posted on our website. All prices are inclusive of VAT

Delivery within the City Centre and West End of Glasgow are free of charge however, outwith these boundaries a delivery charge may be applicable. This delivery charge will be determined between Proper Food and the client based on the delivery address.

After the order is received Proper Food shall confirm by email the delivery address, description of order and quotation for the goods and/or services.

Payment for Individual & Event Clients

Payments can be made in any one of the following ways:

  1. Cash on delivery or prior to delivery
  2. Debit or Credit Card either on delivery or over the phone prior to delivery
  3. Cheque

For event clients, a deposit of 25% of the total cost due shall be required to be paid 7 days prior to delivery. The remaining balance will be due to be paid either before or at the time of delivery.

Payment for Corporate Clients

Payments can be made in any one of the following ways:

  1. Cash on delivery or prior to delivery
  2. Debit or Credit Card either on delivery or over the phone prior to delivery
  3. Cheque
  4. Corporate Account using credit terms. Please enquire about a corporate account. Once completing our Corporate Account Form, we can invoice for your orders offering up to 28 days credit. In order to do this we will require Purchase Order numbers or specific client information. Where applicable, Proper Food shall be entitled to charge interest on overdue invoices from the date when payment becomes due from day to day until the date of payment at a rate of 3% per annum above the base rate of The Bank of England from time to time in force.

DELIVERY

Delivery will be made on the specific delivery date, time and venue agreed between the client and Proper Food. Where there is an amendment to the date, time or venue, it is preferable that the amendment is intimated to Proper Food before 5pm on the day prior to delivery.

Where a specific delivery date has been agreed, and where this delivery date cannot be met, the client will be notified and given the opportunity to agree a new delivery date or receive a full refund.

We aim to deliver between 5 to 10 minutes in advance of your specified delivery time. However, we are very realistic about day to day interruptions like roadworks, road closures etc therefore we recommend that you make your delivery time either 15 or 30 minutes prior to the time you require the food to be served ie. If your meeting begins at 12pm, we recommend you order for 11 30am in order to ensure for any eventuality.

Risk in the Goods shall pass to the client upon delivery of the goods, or where the client fails to take delivery at the agreed time, at the time delivery was attempted.

CANCELLATION/AMENDMENTS AND RETURN

You should inspect the goods immediately upon receipt and shall notify either the person delivering or any employee of Proper Food immediately by telephone if the goods are damaged or not up to the standard expected. If you fail to do so, the goods shall be deemed to be accepted.

You may cancel/amend any order for any reason up until 5pm on the day before the goods are due to be delivered. After this deadline the Proper Food reserves the right to charge the full cost of any food wasted and the staff costs for any abortive work. Any payments made by the client in advance (less any costs due to the Proper Food) shall be refunded in full within 28 days.

CHANGES TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Proper Food shall be entitled to alter these Terms and Conditions at any time but this right shall not affect the existing Terms and Conditions accepted by the client upon making a purchase.
